Pastrengo è un piccolo comune a 19 km da Verona sulle colline retrostanti il lago di Gara. Il 30 aprile 1848 Pastrengo fu teatro di una celebre battaglia, ricordata, per la famosa carica, condotta da tre squadroni di Carabinieri, cui venne affidata la difesa di re Carlo Alberto, durante un improvviso assalto di unità austriache. Questa carica contribuì poi a risolvere felicemente le sorti dell'intera battaglia. A Pastrengo vi sono numerosi ristoranti di ottimo livello: fiorente anche la gastronomia locale lungo l'antica Strada Napoleonica e sui colli prospicienti il Lago di Garda. A Pastrengo sorge il famoso Parco Zoo Safari, una delle maggiori attrazioni del Lago di Garda.
