At the beginning there was nothing but the water
Thermal water is the main element of spas. But that is not all it takes: the will and ingenuity of skilful men, love for the health of the population and the wish to fit in, harmoniously, with nature, all went into creating Terme di Sirmione. That is why, at Sirmione, it isn’t just the thermal water that is special.

In December 2001 Terme di Sirmione was awarded UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification for Quality and the Environment, respectively, recognition and a quality brand for the services it provides. These certificates represent a guarantee for customers and a management and operating instrument that integrate with the corporate strategy aimed at improving efficiency, productivity and image, focusing every activity on satisfying the customer and safeguarding the environment and the local area.

Terme di Sirmione is one of the most important thermal spas in Europe. It is a facility that combines various activities that all have one thing in common – the sulphurous water containing sodium chloride, bromine and iodine. It has two ultra-modern spa centres, Terme Virgilio and Terme Catullo, one modern, functional Thermal Wellness Centre, Aquaria, and three hotels with thermal facilities and Aquaria Club, the 5-star Grand Hotel Terme, the 4-star Hotel Sirmione and the 3-star Hotel Fonte Boiola. So that people may enjoy the benefits of the spa in their own homes, Terme di Sirmione has two products, on sale in pharmacies, that are 100% composed of spa water, Acqua di Sirmione and Sirmiogel. A wide range of cosmetic beauty and wellness products, called I Tesori di Aquaria have also been studied.
