Hotels La Paül e Smeraldo both overlook Lake Garda, within a short distance of the Castle and the medieval hamlet of Sirmione: Hotel La Paül is located on the west side of the peninsula, while Hotel Smeraldo is on the east side. Hotel La Paül, modern and welcoming, has a spacious garden, an equipped private beach, pier, swimming pool, kiosk and free parking. The rooms are simply furnished and have a bathroom with a shower or bathtub, air conditioning and heating, LCD TV with satellite channels, safe, telephone, hair dryer and Wi-Fi internet. Some of the rooms have a fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee selections. The Deluxe Panorama rooms have a spacious balcony facing the lake with sun beds, patio table and chairs. The Family rooms have a double bed with single beds for children, and a balcony/terrace with a childproof security gate. The restaurant, nestled in the garden, has a veranda overlooking the lake and offers Italian cuisine, even gluten-free dishes; it is also available for celebrations and special menus. The conference room has a large window overlooking the pool, and a capacity of 70 seats. The hotel services include: car rental, small library, 24 hour laundry and ironing service, bicycles and beach towels. Hotel Smeraldo has a garden, a small private beach equipped with sun beds, a swimming pool, and play area for children, and private parking. The hotel was expanded and improved in 2008 with a new third floor of rooms and a breakfast room with large windows. Restaurant service is at the next door hotel, La Paül. The new Standard Lago rooms on the top floor, with a roof view and views of both sides of the peninsula, have air conditioning/heating, 20' TV with satellite channels, safe, telephone, Key Card system, shower or bathtub, hairdryer and a balcony with a patio table and chairs overlooking the lake. The Standard Family rooms have one double room and a bedroom for children (26 to 32 sq. meters).
